Hey everyone,

We had the Oxford Transhumanists AGM the other week, and I'm sorry to say that the thrice-cursed petty-buroeqsue have committed a coup against the rightful and just Menshevik leadership. Yes, your beloved leader, the most exhaulted, protector of the meak, defender of the rights of abstract objects, architect of the dawn, etc., Ben Hoskin, has been forced to flee!

The futureland has been usurped by this dastardly list of counter-revolutionaries.

Laurie Pycroft - President (de facto - not de jure. Well connected in the CIA.)

Nessa Carson - Treasurer (usary and exploitation of the people.)

Michael Coward - Secretary (meticulously keeping track of the human rights abuses that will inevitably follow)

Thomas Halgas - Tech officer (responsible for mind control rays and nuclear testing)

George McGowan - Publicity officer (Minister of Truth. Reject his reality; substitute my own!)
Roy doesn't-get-a-surname - Speaker Inviterer (Actually in charge of collective agriculture)

Needless to say, anyone who contributes to the arrest and execution of these reactionaries will be rewarded with a duchy once the soviet paradise is resorted.

All loyalists should flee to GWWC:Oxford, or LessWrong where I have set up a revolutionary government in exile.

I had hoped to thank Laurie and Roy for their hard work in supporting the revolution. However, in light of recent events, they have been duly removed from all photographs taken during the Gloreous Era of Prosperity and Truth for the People. Please amend their descriptions in your copy of The Little Book of Ben from "War Hero" to "War Criminal".

All rumours that a huge debate is planned for Michelmas, which you should definitely all attend, are of course lies.
