Announcement - Electronic keyfobs now available to all members

Hi,

This is a small but exciting announcment.

Many of you have been waiting for your own RFID keyfob to come and go as you please at Oxford Hackspace.

Ta-da!

Keyfobs are finally available to all paid-up members!  Details of how to get yours are here:

 https://oxhack.org/rfid

This gets you access to the hackspace main entrance (down the outside steps) and doors to the toilet area.

If you have a wheelchair or find the outside steps difficult it is possible to get access to the main building entrance and lift. Or if you need access to the larger disabled toilet on the ground floor. Please ask and we can enable these on your keyfob.

Please note: The hackspace main entrance is the side door to the right of the building, down outside steps. There are signs.

Hours of operation are still limited to the opening hours (advertised on the main website), when a staff member or responsible person has opened the space. Within those hours you can come and go.

We've also got a few extra bits in the "hackspace shop" that some of you might find handy, depending how you like to use your keyfob:

• ​Strong keyring loops
• Plastic tags
• Colourful stretchy coil with clip
• Spring-return enclosed coil

Hi there

I'm interested in joining Oxhack, but the website is showing an error when I click the membership link, something about a trouble connecting to a database. Could someone take a look at it?

(Can't contact the database server: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) (localhost))

Sorry about that, we're having some issues with our wiki currently, which should hopefully be fixed soon. In the meantime, you can ask your questions here and the community will answer them, or privately to our treasurer at acco...@oxhack.org, or to me at killas...@gmail.com if you like and we'll do what we can to help. ;)
