Comments please by 4 July - text for the new St Ebbe's website

Hi all

Sharon McClaughlin is helping put together the new website for St Ebbe's and she has asked for some text about 'mercy ministries', so now is your opportunity to contribute! The deadline is 4th July.

My first suggestion is that we should continue to use the heading 'social justice' and not switch to 'mercy ministries'. 'Social justice' is broader (because it encompasses social reform, not just relief and development) and it keeps the language that Vaughan has used for his sermons and Tool box series. Under that heading, here's a draft starter for ten:

'At St Ebbe's we want God to help us to see people the way He sees them, and to care about them the way He cares about them. His revelation of Himself through the bible and through Jesus guides us and challenges us in this'. Insert some text about current activities in or related to St Ebbes. 'If you would like to keep informed about social justice initiatives at St Ebbes please ask to join this google group' (add a link to the google group).

Tomorrow is the deadline for contributions to the Ebbe's website. This is a great opportunity to widen the pool of people who might get involved, so do take it.
