Harvest

Dear all,

I've been in discussion with Pete regarding how we might help with
Harvest this year. In short we have been asked to suggest two
charities to support for Vaughan to approve, preferably with links to
congregation members. I suggest we go for a theme of children this
year and propose the following two charities:

1. Friends of CME (run by Hannah's Dad). Details here: http://www.friendsofcme.org.
Specifically we'd be looking to education orphans, further details on
request.
2. Viva (http://www.viva.org/), perhaps by discussing the needs with
Ian DV?

I'm very happy to take other suggestions, I'm suggesting two simply to
cater for the situation where nobody else has anything in mind.

Ideally I love to get a representative from the 09:30, 16:00 (me),
19:00 and StEP / Oak to discuss harvest with their congregation just
before. We'll also have a Ebbe and Flow article about the two
charities we pick and a slot at CPM to raise the profile of harvest. I
also hope to be able to feed back on the difference Ebbes made prior
to next year.

If anyone would like to meet to discuss this I suggest next Monday
night at 18:00 ish. Harvest is in September so we need to get moving
on this. If I hear nothing by the end of the week I'll go with 1 & 2
above.
