Transfer into NIH MD/PhD

Hi guys, I have a question! 

I am very drawn to the NIH MD/PhD programs for translational medicine. Recently I have been offered an opportunity to pursue my PhD at Oxford University in Medical Physics which, if it goes through, I am very keen on taking up.

As for the MD/PhD, the application timeline is tripping me up: I haven't taken the MCATs yet! 

Is it possible to transfer into the NIH GPP (then NIH MD/PhD) after my first year at Oxford?
