What  is the correct syntax for cross-referencing?

Use of the following

  R_Date("xyz", 5000, 30);

  R_Date("=xyz");

Produces a date younger than xyz

I have fallen back on XReference. But there must be an easier answer

Thanks in anticipation

The correct syntax is:

R_Date("xyz",5000,50);

Date("=xyz");

The R_Date function is only used to introduce another radiocarbon measurement.

Best wishes

Afraid I must be getting it wrong. Using Date rather than R_Date
delivers the following (I.e. the cross-reference doesn't register):

OxCal v4.0.5 Bronk Ramsey (2007); r:5
IntCal04 atmospheric curve (Reimer et al 2004)
Boundary()
xyz R_Date(5000,50)
68.2% probability
3926BC (18.4%) 3878BC
3804BC (49.8%) 3707BC
95.4% probability
3945BC (93.1%) 3694BC
3680BC ( 2.3%) 3665BC
=xyz
Boundary()

I think I need more of the input code to understand what is happening
here. The cross reference will only apply in the modelled output
anyway.
