Dear all,

Congratulations on reaching the closing stages of the year and the ending of term! 

The accomplishment is no small one, and we wish you well in the final exams and any last edits to papers which you are currently revising. 

This is an invitation to attend the OUBS' End of Term Party on Thursday 15th June from 3pm. We will assemble on the banks of Wolfson College (Linton Rd, OX2 6UD) where we will toast the end of the year with good cheer and Pimms (non-alcoholic drinks also available) before embarking upon a long overdue renovatio of the tradition of monoxyla - where we shall Byzantine-ly punt up the river from Wolfson to the Victoria's Arms pub, where the boats can be moored. There we will aim to meet and have drinks and a meal at 4:30/5pm. 

Please send in your name and preference to which of the crafts you wish to be enlisted. We have three punts, temporarily named for our purposes the Kibyrrhaeotoi, the Venetoi and the Genovesoi. Each can seat four with an additional one at the helm, while we also have two 2/3-seater canoes if needed (for the Avars amongst you). Whilst at Wolfson you can also visit the gallery of neo-Byzantine art currently on display organised by Elena Draghici-Vasilescu.

We will return to Wolfson around 7pm, at which point all are welcome to disperse or redirect to another venue as we may. Anyone who is not keen to boat but would like to attend is welcome to meet us at the Victoria's Arms in Marston at 4:30pm, but please do email in advance, so we can confirm numbers.
