Volunteers needed - Manchester Fiesta in 1 Week! -- Art Party, Canvass, and Final Meeting (Please read this email)

TEJAS, Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services, will be sponsoring a festival in Manchester (where the Keystone Pipeline will end, here in Houston where 610 East meets 225/Pasadena Hwy.)   It is a festival designed to build community cohesion and awareness of health threats from the refineries on the other side of their house fences- literally.

They need volunteers. See schedule and contact info below.

One week until the big event! Things are coming together and a lot of our success will depend on what we can accomplish in this final week. The notes from last nights meeting are attached. Below are the preparation events dates. I hope you can make it!

1. Final Planning Meeting - Tues @ 6:30 

Meet at the TEJAS office for our last chance to touch base on the final coordination before the festival.

2. Art Party! - Sunday @ 6PM 

Hang out and make banners, signs and decorations for the Festival

East Side Social Center – 4202 Canal St.

3. Big Canvass Push - Multiple Dates @ 6PM

Oops!  forgot to mention that this is a call for volunteers only.  The festival is intended only for Manchester area residents.  It is part of a larger environmental drive that involves community organizing of the most affected area in the Keystone pipeline: Manchester.

So if you can volunteer, that would be greatly appreciated. 
But pls do not broadcast info about the festival to non-Manchester residents.  This is an ask for volunteers to help the Manchester community organize.
