It's cool to be working with all of you on this, & thanks Cara for setting up this group.
I'm available to go look at spaces and areas Thursday afternoon, Friday anytime, & Sunday before 6.

Thursday afternoon works best for me. Not sure about Friday/Saturday at this point.

How about meeting tomorrow around 12:00 or 1:00 to go look around Brooklyn?
We could meet in Bed-Stuy or downtown Brooklyn? If anyone has a specific area they think would be good to check out, please let us know.
I know of empty storefronts on Manhattan Ave. in Greenpoint and in my neighborhood, Ridgewood, but other than that don't have a lot of ideas.

HI Team,
Ian and I spent several hours walking around Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, and parts of downtown Brooklyn today. I think we documented about 20 empty storefronts. I gave my contact info to the owner of Goodbye Blue Monday to ask her about her experiences with the business (they have OWS signs all over the place.)
Maybe Ian can also give his feedback when he's back in town, but I feel like Bushwick and the Clinton Hill-Bed-Stuy area, seemed most realistic, and had the most open-seeming atmosphere. We haven't actually contacted any of the landlords yet, I suppose we could try doing some of that on Monday.
I looked through Craigslist listings too, and they seemed pretty speculatively priced---from $3,000 to $5,000 a month.
I also sent an email on our behalf to ows legal asking them to put me in touch with the legal clinic, if it exists.
