Hey guys,

I wanted to start a thread with y'all about what some of us have been thinkin' would be cool to see next Wednesday when Mitt 'Mr. 1%' Romney comes to town. He'll join a bevy of Wall Street bankers for a fundraiser at the Waldorf, to fill his election coffers at a luncheon hosted by a billionaire supermarket magnate friend. They'll schmooze the SuperPACS and corporate fat cats, and a coalition of allies will be out there to slam Romney as a "tax evader and job cremator."

We want to mobilize OWS & our radical friends to deliver a message that's not just about Romney's record, or one issue or another, no matter how important. We wanna highlight the corporate capture of our political system, and the sale of our democracy to the highest bidders.

But rather than just add our message to the raucous mix that will be out there, a group of us are proposing a rally at the Waldorf to highlight Romney's true masters. In homage to "Billionaires for Bush," we wanna hold a fun "1%ers for Romney! (or Obama)" rally with people dressed to the nines—we'll work on costumes like ball gowns and suits and tophats and tiaras— and signs that echo Romney's own words, like "Corporations are People Too!" as well as "Buy Your Own Politician. Romney's Mine!" and "Ask Me About My Super PAC." I'm sure it might frighten some folks but personally I expect to see a "Mittrack Obamney 2012. Either Way, Wall Street Wins!" sign or two :)

We need creative minds and people willing to put in a little work between now and next Wednesday. We need help further designing the scenario, gathering materials, and coming up with funny, smart, biting messages that do more than just slam Romney for his political positions and rather critique a system in which a tool like Romney could be in the political position he's in.

Whaddaya think? Can we get some ideas flowing about how to get some folks to join in, peeps into political theater, the + brigades, etc.?
