Hi ARA!

Paul and I will be hosting ARA's May monthly meeting on Friday May 18, 7 to 9:30 pm.  Our address is 316 -16th St, Brooklyn in the southern edge of Park Slope.  Enter on ground floor.  Closest subway is F train to 7th Av & 9th St.  Questions? Problems?  call my cell: 718-344-4561.

This is the agenda:

introductions

points of unity

report backs on ARA projects and organizing

support discussion:  what has come up in organizing?  how can we be more effective & supportive?

political education:  The Greensboro Massacre:  

         Paul and I are survivors of the 1979 Greensboro Massacre, where KKK and Nazis' opened fire on a protest rally and killed five of our close friends.  we will show a 10 minute video based on footage taken by 4 TV cameramen at the scene.  We will talk briefly about this incident and answer questions.

The meeting will be a potluck, so bring food and drink.  And feel free to come early (any time after 6) if you would like to hang out.

We need a facilitator for the meeting -- any one volunteer?
