The OWNCS PTO is excited to announce our Annual Read-a-thon!

Our Read-a-thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills.  It is also an online fundraiser. All funds will be added to the PTO’s general fund which helps support the school and teachers in many ways. Last year the Read-a-Thon raised $8000 and was our biggest fundraiser. Students also read a total of 49,440 minutes!

·       Our Read-a-thon will start Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

·       We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by going to:

https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/257143  and entering your teacher’s name. For MS - Enter Middle School under teachers name

·       Reading minutes can be logged here after you activate the account

·       Any donation (online or cash) amount is welcome, but not necessary to participate in the Read-a-thon. Anyone can participate!

PRIZES!!!  PRIZES!!!  PRIZES!!!

·       Top Reader in each grade: $25 gift card to Astoria Bookstore

·       Classroom with the most consistent participation wins a PIZZA PARTY and $50 gift card to their teacher!!!!

·       All participants receive a certificate of completion & a small reading related gift
