Language Options

Hey there!  

Thanks for the great work on the application.  

I am a lifter from TAIWAN.  I noticed that OWLCMS doesn't currently offer a Chinese language option. Has anyone started working on a translation?  I would be happy to help with the localization effort.

There is no Mandarin translation for owlcms currently.

The process for doing a translation is explained here.

If there is a translation of the IWF TCRR rules in Mandarin somewhere, this would help, as it would be possible to use automatic translation to do a first pass with that as a reference vocabulary.

Contact owlcms @ jflamy.dev (remove the spaces for the address)  if you are serious about this, as it requires serious motivation to do it.

We actually do have a Mandarin version of TCRR, which was translated by the Chinese Taipei Weightlifting Association. However, it's only updated to version 109.02.

The document appears to be extremely short.  You would need to find a full version.  Or some training document for coaches or referees that uses the weightlifting vocabulary.
