The process for reporting a problem is always the same.
First, try rebooting your laptop to see if anything was stuck and that was the cause.
Then
a) do not send the message to the full worldwide mailing list
b) clean up the logs folder
1) Stop the program if it is running
2) Use the Files button to locate the logs folder
3) remove everything in that folder
c) Restart the program to reproduce the issue
d) Gather the logs
1) Stop the program if it is running
2) Use the Files button to locate the logs folder again
3) send me the owlcms.log file
e) If the program starts, use the "Export Database" button at the bottom of the Prepare Competition page and send me the owlcmsDatabase file that this produces.
