Hi folks!

I'm running a small meet in my local gym. The meet will only be for Clean & Jerk and I'm having a hard time setting it up. Can someone tell me if this is possible and how to do it?

Thanks!

I realize I can just remove all the athletes from the snatch tries from the Announcer screen... I'm just wondering if there is another way to do it (:

Probably the only way to do this is to set up the competition normally and then manually withdraw every athlete from snatch. You can do this immediately after weigh-in, but the act of withdrawing an athlete will start the session, so you might want to wait until you're ready to start the session. Alternatively, you can add a dummy platform to load the session into for the withdrawals. You'll need to manually manage the break clocks since the flow of competition will be abnormal. This whole process will only about a minute of extra work for each session.

Since this is completely local, and you won't be sending results out, why don't you just use the first lift (the snatch).
In other words, pretend the snatch is clean&jerk.
Once the snatch is done, you go on to your next group.

Lovely! Thanks, folks (:

Also, is there any other way to change the default timer to reset to 2min, instead of 1min?

Sure would be nice if people would stop inventing new rules 🙄
But yes it can be changed, you are not the first to ask -- though people normally want it shorter to get things moving...

Find the configuration files for your installed version (use the Files button in the control panel)
Under local,  create a timing folder, and inside that folder, create a timing.properties file like the following

# Athlete timer milestone values in milliseconds.
# Copy this file to the local/ directory (or the directory set by OWLCMS_LOCALDIR)
# under timing/timing.properties to override the defaults.
# Environment variables OWLCMS_ATHLETE_TIMER_ONE_MINUTE and
# OWLCMS_ATHLETE_TIMER_TWO_MINUTES override the corresponding file values.
athleteTimerTwoMinutes=120000
athleteTimerInitialWarning=90000
athleteTimerOneMinute=60000
athleteTimerFinalWarning=30000

Setting athleteTimerOneMinute to 120000 should do it (it milliseconds)
