Hello everyone,

I would like to share an observation I made last weekend while working as a referee, related to the plate loading display in OWLCMS.

For a requested weight of 232 kg, the plate loader display was incorrect. Per side, the following plates were shown: 3 × 25 kg (red), 1 × 20 kg (blue), 1 × 5 kg (white), 1 × 2.5 kg (red), Collar: 2.5 kg, 1 × 1 kg (green), This setup is not correct, because a 20 kg blue plate together with a 5 kg white plate equals 25 kg. Therefore, the display should show 4 × 25 kg plates per side (plus the remaining plates), instead of listing the 20 kg and 5 kg plates separately.

Such a representation can be confusing for plate loaders and referees. It might be worth reviewing or adjusting this behavior.

Best regards,

I have found the cause of the issue in the software settings. It can be configured within the program, so this is not a bug.

You can therefore delete this post.

Thank you and best regards,

Most meets don't have 4 competition 25kg plates available. As you found out, the plates available are configurable.
