Hello everyone! We had a request last year to kick off the bids for EC the following year much sooner after the event closed. While we still have some things to wrap up from EC 2024, I am confident we are ready to move on!
Ecumenical Council is the yearly event game wherein the Sabbat gather and debate changes to their laws, their rules, their behavior. It is where any Cainite's voice matters, and where the Clergy votes to pass changes on to the Consistory (and Council!) to ratify. It is always an amazing event filled with politics, intrigue, elbow rubbing, betrayal, and ritae!
Each year any game that wishes to Host the event puts in a bid via the link below. Then if there are enough games offering to run, we create a vote and allow any Sabbat players a chance to vote for the game in question to host!
Information players will need to make their decision is requested within the link but you should be thinking about a variety of factors such as location, price, dates, plot you may wish to run, and more if you want to host and put in a bid!
As with last year, if you would like to host the event as a Discord game that is possible, when you fill out the form please denote it is a Discord event and not a Live event. Ultimately the player base will vote on their favorite option from the ones presented.
We will open the bidding process now, it will run for 4 months, and then we will close it once we have not received any new bids within 2 weeks of that 4 month period ending.
We expect the actual Ecumenical Council to take place sometime in the late Spring if possible, but honestly that's up to the hosting chronicles and their plans. It can run any time in 2025! We would prefer not to collide with Grand Synod up in CT which intends to run in June. Working around established events already taking place in the Org will be an important factor to figure in!

Hey everyone!
So we have had 2 games bid. 1 has specifically said they aren't sure exactly if they can secure it but they will make it happen, but to not choose them if we have another more reliable option!
The other game wants to get paperwork signed asap so they don't lose their planned weekend.
At this point I am going to make a final call!
So as of 09/09 I will be closing the bids for EC 2025 and will announce the winner, or perform the vote/run off if we have a 3rd candidate, or that first candidate tells me they want to try and contest the other game!

Hey everyone! The voting is closed!
We had 2 Games offer to run, and one specifically said they just wanted to make sure there was an EC, so if there was a better more tenured option, to go with them.
So, since that means we only really have 1 game in the running, we won't be doing a vote/run off.
That means, your EC 2025 will once again be Unchained Arizona in Chicago IL with HST Todd Allen!
Current dates are-
April 11th-13th 2025
Current event cost is- 50$
More specifics, themes, info, hotel, and all of that to come!
