Problem Starting OpenVirteX

Hello

I'm a Master Student doing research on SDN/NFV

I was wiling to learning OpenvirteX so i cloned from github

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS not on a virtual Machine
I'm having both Oracle-Java-8 and Java-jdk-8 on my computer

~/OpenVirteX/scripts$ sh ovx.sh
Starting OpenVirteX...
Unrecognized VM option 'PreBlockSpin=8'
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Can someone please guide me on how to fix the above problem "unrecognized VM option"

The docs clearly state OVX only supports Java 7
