Ovuview 3.4.2 freezes in charts view

I recently got a new phone and, as a happy user of the Ovuview pro version, installed Ovuview on my new phone (running Android 4.1.1). I used Ovuview's  backup/restore feature to migrate the data, and it went off without a hitch ... or so I thought. On my new device, Ovuview now freezes in Charts view if I try to scroll more than two months back unless (as desperate experimentation showed) I set the chart view to the smallest one possible. I can still scroll back in the individual day (Symptoms) or
calendar view, the data is there...

Re-installing the app or restoring the data from a new backup file doesn't solve the problem. On my old device (running Android 2.3.4), I can scroll right back to the time I started using the app two years ago without a problem.

German user Teufelsche encountered the same problem on Dec 09, 2012 (documented here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ovuview/8MzYOC7rMPE), only in their case, both calendar AND charts view freeze.


Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

I cannot give a hint how to solve this, but I have the very same problem. Hope I can give some weight to the cause as the developers seem to ignore it. Thanks for the workaround thou'!
