Katie,
thank you for the great tip! OvuView has the following options to backup:
1. Daily automatic backup to SD card
It saves your data to one of the following locations:
- /mnt/sdcard/OvuView/backup
- /mnt/sdcard-ext/OvuView/backup
Please, note that the location depends on your Phone's settings if
your phone has both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL sd cards.
2. Manual backup to SD card
( menu -> Backup/Restore -> Backup to SD card )
It saves the data to the same location as it was described in the
previous option.
3. Manual backup to your email
( menu -> Backup/Restore -> Backup to email -> Choose your email client )
It sends an OVU backup file to the specified email address.
4. Manual backup to Dropbox
( menu -> Backup/Restore -> Backup to email -> Choose Dropbox app )
If you have the official Dropbox application installed, you can use
this option to backup to your Dropbox account.
5. Automatic cloud backup (ala Android)
Your data is also backuped using Android's "Cloud Backup" feature, but
please note that this option is NOT RELIABLE as it works only on some
of newer phone models, furthermore both the old phone and the new
phone must support it.
If you install OvuView (under the same Google account) on a new phone
and your data are automatically restored then that means automatic
backup is supported.
6. Automatic cloud backup with dropsync
see Katie's previous email
Best regards,
Ian / OvuView
