Import backup failed

My phone died today, so I've had to switch to an old phone for now. Fortunately I had e-mailed myself a backup file last week, but unfortunately my phone won't import it (error message: "Restored [sic] failed, file format error.").

I have tried moving it into the folder mnt/sdcard/OvuView/backup, I have tried renaming it (backup.ovu, backup.csv), moving it into mnt/sdcard/OvuView, ...In certain cases the app finds the file, but it still can't read the file for some reason.

Since my old phone has died and I can't get it to switch on, this one backup file is the only thing I have to work with and I can't make a new one.

The facts:

- The phone I'm trying to restore the backup file on is a HTC Desire Z running Android 2.3.3 (HTC Sense 2.1).

- I have switched to Live mode and added a few data here and there (nothing I wish to keep, just trying to get it to work).

- I have attached the backup file to this message.

I would be supergrateful for any tips, I've been using OvuView for years (very happy with it) so it would suck if I lost all that data :-/ Thanks for reading!
