My system is stuck on blood diamond (dvdrip)(2).avi,and it will not let me cancel it nor clear idle, the ststus is always on searching,and it says someone named anon_51FC@???? is using it, and his status is idle. Same thing happened to me, you most likely downloaded a virus, and Ares stops the downloads around that file. Use your anti-virus software (I have Norton) and scan just the download folder and it should find it. It was in a .rar for me, and it was a backdoor trojan that didn't start its damage yet.

I had the same problem a couple of times and it seems the latest version of Ares gets stuck when it encounters a file that it should be downloading but can't (reason unknown to me). The solution I found was to examine your downloads looking for a file with no size information in the downloaded field of the transfer tab. This is the file that is causing the problem, make a note of the file name. If you then completely close Ares (not just to the tray), go into your shared folder and either delete or move that particular file to another folder, then restart Ares, all should be well again.

I have had this problem with the past couple of revisions and sometimes would get it by moving my location of downloads, reinstalling ares, and worst case senario... reinstall windows. If anybody finds a fix let me know.
