It was told to my team that Microsoft Store Apps like 3d viewer can only be updated via Microsoft Store and were recommended to open up the firewall to Microsoft specific URLs, this caused a very high traffic spike and we were forced to close the firewall again.
I've run a Nessus scan on my laptop running Windows 11 Pro (that I ran the in-place upgrade from Windows 10 a few months ago) and it's finding that I have old versions of 2 apps installed. It's found that I have 3D viewer 1.0.35.0 and Paint 3D 1.0.46.0installed. Nessus's advice is a bit obvious, but explains I need to update to the latest version.
It is up to date. Nessus shows I have version 1.0.35.0 of 3D viewer and that I need it to be version 7.2009.29132.0 or later. If I run the scan with either version 7.2009.29132.0 installed or completely removed, it still reports that I have version 1.0.35.0 installed. It's clearly picking up on something somewhere leading it to believe this is the case. Other vulnerabilities it detects for unpatched software generally links me to the .exe and it's location on my computer. However, it doesn't do this with apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store.
I use webclipper to save business receipts and invoices to Evernote notebooks. I use Gmail and Google Chrome. Previously, I was able to open a PDF attachment from an email in GMAIL that was sent by a vendor, and hit the print button to open the PDF in Google Chrome's PDF viewer, then use webclipper to save the entire PDF. I was able to change the name of the file and choose the notebook to save it to. Now, after the update, webclipper is unresponsive when viewing the PDF. I have not been able to figure out how to save a PDF email attachment to Evernote so I can keep record of my business receipts. I don't want a link to the PDF, I want to save the actual PDF itself. This is the only task I use Evernote for. I would love to figure out how I can save PDFs to my Evernote notebook since the way I have been doing it for the last 3 years no longer works. It worked until last week. Now it doesn't
