Not sure if this has been discussed before but the AI Companion Smart recordings are a game changer for staff tasked with creating minutes from meetings as well as students and faculty conducting research interviews on Zoom. The Smart recording content, however, is not one of the components that can be downloaded from the cloud recording like the video and the transcript. Is Zoom going to add that functionality?

If you are using Zoom to deliver content synchronously, you are able to record to the cloud in Zoom and have that recorded lecture/meeting automatically moved to UICapture. From there you have a few options, but the below will help you follow where your recording will end up:

Once your Zoom meeting ends and the cloud recording is fully uploaded to Vimeo, you will receive an email notification that the Zoom recording is available on Vimeo. You can select Go to video to view your Zoom recording on Vimeo. You can trim, share, and add comments to your Zoom recording just like any other video on Vimeo.
Recording a meeting couldn't be easier. You simply click the Recording button at the bottom of your Zoom window. What happens next is a little more complicated. Zoom offers a surprising number of options on how it records meetings, where the meetings are stored and how they can be shared. So, where do Zoom recordings go? When recording a meeting, you can either record on your PC or in the Zoom cloud.
From here, you can view, download, share and delete your cloud recordings. Each of the blue links in the screenshot above is a meeting recording. Depending on your settings, each meeting could contain several files with different views and aspects of the meeting. The share options on this page offer a lot of control, while also enabling easy sharing via a simple link.
As you can see from this segment of the settings menu, Zoom offers many options when recording to the cloud. You can manage what gets recorded and even how it's presented. While this may feel like power-user stuff, it is accessible to anyone recording Zoom meetings. Don't leave this for the experts. If you're recording Zoom meetings, take the time to go through these settings.
As a meeting host, you can record the meeting to either the cloud or your local machine. Meetings that are recorded to the cloud will be automatically saved to Panopto. Due to limited storage, the recording of the meeting in Zoom will be automatically deleted after 30 days, but will remain available in Panopto.
With the app downloaded, you won't have to settle for calling in to a meeting using your phone number. Instead, you'll be able to use the awesome cameras from your smartphone and see everyone you're talking to.
With the free Basic plan, you can host up to 100 participants at a time, engage in private and group chats, have as many meetings as you want with a time limit of 40 minutes, and use up to three editable Zoom Whiteboards with 25MB of cloud storage.
This cloud-based audio/video/content sharing conferencing service works through your web browser (Chrome only) or an app that can be downloaded for most desktop and mobile operating systems. It supports HD videoconferencing, screen sharing, breakout rooms, and real-time video sharing. Live chat is available during meetings, and meetings can be recorded. Zoom encrypts all presentation content and telephone audio.
Due to extensive use of Zoom and the high volume of meetings being recorded to Zoom's cloud, measures are needed to stay within contracted Zoom cloud storage limits. Older Zoom cloud recordings will be transferred to the Zoom Trash, as outlined in the following Retention Schedule.
To help preserve storage space, users are encouraged to record only those meetings that are for university business and to be mindful that storage is limited when choosing to record a meeting to Zoom's cloud.
With this integration, you can automatically transcribe your Zoom cloud-recorded meetings, eliminating the need to invite Fireflies to your meetings.

Learn how to secure your Zoom meetings against disruptive "zoombombing" incidents. If you use the Zoom desktop client, we strongly recommend keeping it up-to-date to help ensure greater security of your sessions. When using Zoom outside of Canvas, make sure to follow FSU ITS's latest security tips. For added convenience, all Zoom meetings recorded to the Zoom cloud are now automatically added to the host's Kaltura account.
This is no longer a recommended way to use Zoom in Canvas for class meetings
We no longer recommend this option for whole-class meetings due to the recent "zoombombing" that has occurred in Zoom class meetings. Bypassing the Canvas integration requires you to share the Zoom meeting's "join URL," which is what makes your course meeting vulnerable to disruption. Requiring students to join from within your Canvas course site helps to secure your meeting from being hijacked by Zoom trolls because your students will never need the "join URL." While there is no specific rule about where your recordings should be saved, OIT and the CSC suggest saving your meetings locally on your computer, rather than cloud storage. This will give you more flexibility with uploading through Kaltura, as well as more storage space.
