Oviedo Lodge 2022 Christmas White Elephant Party

Good Evening Brothers,

Below is the information for this year's Christmas Party, I hope to see you all there. 

Date: December 17th

Time: 7pm-???

Location: American Legion Post 243(Directly Behind the Lodge)

Information:

1.The Lodge will be providing the meat. 

2.Please Bring a dish to share.

3.Please feel free to bring your lady or a guest if you wish.

4.White elephant gift exchange information will be below. 

5.There will be an "Ugly Sweater Contest" This is always a lot of fun . Winner will be determined by majority vote. 

Alcohol is permitted however, you must bring your own. So please be sure to bring whatever beverage/mixer you like to drink. 

Please remember the legion donates the building rental, we must be respectful of this please treat the building with respect, clean up after yourselves and maintain order. 

White Elephant Gift exchange rules

If you wish to participate please bring

1 Gift per couple valued at about $30. PLEASE NO GAG GIFTS!

PLEASE BE SURE TO WRAP THE GIFT.

Rules

1. Players will pick a place in line via a number out of a hat.

2.. Player 1 selects an unopened gift and opens it.

3. Player 2 may either select an unopened gift or to steal player 1's gift.

4. If player 2 elects to steal player 1s. gift then player 1. gets to select a new unopened gift and open it.

5. Player 3 may select to steal player 1 or 2's gift or select an unopened gift. 

6. This continues until all gifts are opened.

7. Once all players have gone through and all gifts are opened player 1 gets the opportunity to steal a gift. If player 1 elects to not steal a gift then the game is over. If player 1 steals another player's gift then the player with the stolen gift is able to either keep the gift of the stealer(game ends) or steal another player's gift. This continues until someone finally keeps the gift swapped from whoever stole their gift or all gifts have been stolen 2 times.

Note: Once a gift is stolen 2 times the person stealing it the second time keeps that gift meaning it is frozen and can not be stolen again.

This Seems really complicated however, it is pretty easy and is an absolute hoot to play. I will orchestrate the event so it does not get chaotic and stays fun!
