I sent pix to show which pole is which on these transistors.  Researching is easy. Just type in the number on Google and look for pdf data

Do you type in the full link to do that?

I attached the wires to the new diode with the correct display. The
3055 is NPN yes but the 3055T is PNP.

I'm sorry Rollo,

I'm gonna have to disagree on the transistor.

I just looked it up and the MJE2955T is PNP
and the MJE3055T is a NPN

Yeah I just looked over my sheets and you are correct.  I got it running though by switching the trigger wires.  I am charging a dead battery.  I'll go back to the News flash entry and post that resistor size change is what I'll do.
