Audio input analysis?

I'm mainly interested in using Overtone to supply fast fft/level analysis of different audio inputs. I'm not very familiar with SuperCollider, can anyone point me in the right direction in the API? Most things in the tutorials/guides I've read are focused on synthesis.

I've found (sound-in), but haven't really managed to do much with it besides route it back out of the speakers :(

I figure what I need to do is write (sound-in) into a buffer if I want to sample it's RMS, and I think the FFT ugen writes to a buffer, but how do I get these things to continuously sample from (sound-in)?

Thanks!

did you eventually figure that out?
would be interested in some pointers on doing that.

This is I guess related to the java-jna bugs we've been experiencing. To get realtime sound-buffer data from SuperCollider the fastest, is to use the native library module and not the OSC, tough both should be possible. Please remind me to reply here, I'll try migrating from clj-native to a newer java-jna library, after which making an example of realtime audio analysis should be easy.
