I get free SSL certificate from https://www.sslforfree.com/.
Here is my OverSIP settings:

  # public_cert: demo-tls.oversip.net.crt
  public_cert: /etc/ssl/certificate.crt
  # private_cert: demo-tls.oversip.net.key
  private_cert: /etc/ssl/private.key
  ca_dir: ca/

When start OverSIP I receive follow message:

NOTICE: <executable> OverSIP 2.0.4 starting...
INFO: <executable> process name: oversip
ERROR: <Config> no valid X509 PEM found in the file
CRIT: <launcher> tls[public_cert] has invalid value '/etc/ssl/certificate.crt' (does not satisfy 'tls_pem_chain' validation requirement)
CRIT: <launcher> exiting with error status

Where is problem?

I dont know those certs, but ensure you set the full chain certificate. Also you may need to set the .ca.
