Hi there,
OverSIP seems awesome. I've taken a look at the API and it seems to me it can be used for sending individual SIP messages between agents but I don't see a way to initiate a voice call between two different agents.
Would sending an INVITE request from an agent to another through the API create a call between the two.
Both agents would be softphones connected to OverSIP.
Thanks and congrats,

Hi, that's not possible since OverSIP is a proxy but not a SIP User Agent.
Said that, sadly I'm not maintaining OverSIP anymore.

I see Iñaki. Are you maintaining JSSIP? It seems even more impressive than OverSIP.
Do you know if Asterisk or another SIP Server can be used in that way, that is, offers an API so another component can initiate a call between two different parties?
Thanks.

I can't help much on Asterisk, but AFAIK the ARI API allows that.

Yes, it seems Asterisk ARI API supports just that. I create the two channels and bridge and then add the two channels to the bridge.
Are you still maintaining JSSIP?
Thanks
