Dear Ones,

As you are aware about Darshak ji's current tour of US which is going on very well, here is a quick update we want to share with you -

Darshak ji has met more than 20 prominent Indian community leaders, former IAC (India Against Corruption) members and many other social organizations in New Jersey from the time he has arrived.

People are particularly drawn towards the tremendous work being done at the grass root level under his leadership, be it the cleaning of the Kumudvathi river to helping the drought affected villagers in Maharashtra by providing clean drinking water to the current Uttarakhand tragedy where VBI volunteers have been helping the affected people in the villages since day one. Also, his vision, positive attitude and confidence in the common masses that we can bring a social revolution if we work collectively is something people are catching onto with much fervor. Being a visionary and worked on multiple social development projects across India, he has grown Volunteer for Better India movement by many folds and this has inspired a lot of people he has met to join hands with OVBI here in US and contribute back in some way to the country.

But to give wind to this positive change we need your help to gain maximum mileage out of his tour. Some of the things that we call upon your urgent support are -

a) Create facebook events in your local city. Please see a sample that Indianapolis OVBI team has created:

b) It will be good idea if we can create a press release for every city he is touring. This can be picked by media or it can be posted on website.

c) Please tweet about it and facebook will be updated regularly about this.

d) We need to Register new members at all the places he is visiting

e) Take photos when he is visiting your city and publish them on facebook and other social media sites

f) Reach out to your community heads/members and schedule a meeting with Darshak ji (there is a calendar we can share once you let us know the city)

g) You can ask your local radio stations to announce the visit of Darshak ji and provide time/place where everyone can get together

h) Connect with your local Universities as there is a large Indian student/teacher population

As time is of essence lets start on this today.

Thanks
OVBI Team
