Guruji's Darshan

This is Naresh Adhikari. I used to be away from God and spirituality,
but right from my young age I had questions within myself but they
never reached a critical mass...but Guruji has his own ways of
identifying the lost souls and guide them towards self-
realization...and I am a live example !!!! . The incident I am going
to mention happened one day at my office in Richmond, USA, which
completely shook my belief system and so called "Logical" thinking
upside down !!!!

Before I tell you what happened... please allow me to indulge you
briefly about my background about how I came to know about Guruji..

It all started sometime around July 2004 when one of my long time
friend Gurveer Chopra( yes the same person in our group !! ) and his
wife Sheena Chopra invited us for a Satsang at their house. My in-laws
had come to visit us from India on the birth of our daughter, so we
all went and visited Gurveer/Sheena. That’s were I saw the picture of
our Guruji for the first time. Gurveer/Sheena were instrumental in
igniting the long suppressed questions I had within myself about God/
spirituality and I started going for their satsang every Thursday. I
should tell you that both Gurveer and Sheena conducted every Satsang
with so much pure love and affection towards Guruji that it triggered
a whole new spiritual experience within myself !!!

But as old habits die hard, my mind used to poke me with many more
doubts which made me again question the existence of God and in turn
questioned the importance of Guruji. Then one fine day in July
2005( around 1 year after I first visited Guruji's satsang at
Gurveer's place) inside my office around 12:30 pm in the afternoon , I
was walking back to my cubicle with my eyes staring down. As I was
crossing the cubicles on my right side I suddenly experienced a
strong gush of rose fragrance coming from my right side. The fragrance
was very strong and I even felt some water mist gently hitting my
face.... immediately I realized this is nothing but Guruji's presence
but my logical mind started questioning as a result I thought for a
moment that maybe someone in one of the cubicles sprayed some room
freshener, so I walked towards the cubicles to see if anybody were
there. But since it was lunch time there were nobody except one person
who said he did not sprayed any room freshener nor smelled any rose
fragrance !!! By this time I was shaking in disbelief about how come
from nowhere this strong fragrance has come and that too at the very
the spot near to the exit for smoking area where all you smell is
smoking !!!! I was thrilled that Guruji made his presence and at the
same time trying to understand this "out-of-normal" experience then I
realized that at the same time when I felt the rose fragrance, some
voice inside me asked me to look up ... as I was staring down while
walking at that time all I could see is an individual from his neck
till his torso wearing a dark chocolate/burgundy kurta who just walked
past in front of me !!!! His full sleeves were kind of pulled up so I
can clearly see his hand and golden Kadi around his right wrist......
I froze for a second and reality struck me like a lighting bolt that
that individual was none other than our GURUJI !!!!! At that moment
my whole non-GOD belief and "Logical" thinking was shattered into
pieces... what I experienced is nothing short of MIRACLE !!!! My
GURUJI personified in front of this miniscule soul just to clear my
doubts ...I was never the same person after this incident !!!

One important thing about this incident which has even greater
significance is, in the morning on the same day, while I was driving
to office I was introspecting about GOD and I looked at the open azure
sky and addressed to GOD asking the following thing.... " GOD, all my
life I was taught to rationalize things and believe in only those
things which you can SEE/SMELL/TOUCH... but now I am confused...so YOU
please prove yourself and show me you exist... otherwise my "logical"
mind will never accept your existence...please help me" . Then I
reached my office and as usual got involved in the work related
stuff.... and around 12:30pm GURUJI makes his darshan which I can SEE/
SMELL/TOUCH... I could SMELL the fragrances of the roses, I could
experience the TOUCH of the watery mist on my face and finally I could
SEE his body going past in a flash in front of me !!!! GURUJI is
nothing but the personification of GOD and this experience of mine
proves GURUJI IS GOD and GOD IS GURUJI for me !!!!!!

PS: Afterwards in November’ 2005 , myself and my wife went to India
and had the fortune of having the darshan of Guruji for the first time
in person and unfortunately for the last time too…

Pardon me for writing this lengthy post but I could not stop typing
and even though this incident happened several years back I got a
strong urge to write it and share it with the sangat today.
