If I pushed a restart/reboot for Overmorrow, how many on this list would be interested?

I would certainly make some changes. I think I'll move away from Pathfinder toward another system.Anyway, I'd need interest from at least 4 I think to restart, and we'd go with the mostly-offline with punctuated sessions kind of gameplay. Regarding the world, I would keep the setting and most of the plots so far since only a few storylines have begun to be investigated. I might cut out a thing or two entirely.

I would be fine with people starting from scratch or re-using their previous characters (reborn in a new system being similar but not identical)

On the table for new systems: 5th Edition DnD (but likely no), Burning Wheel, Dungeon World, 13th Age, DCC RPG

I'm interested in Burning Wheel, but have you considered running Overmorrow in Paranoia's system?

Nice, alright, this is a good place to get started.

I was also most interested in Burning Wheel, it has a good balance between interesting mechanics, long-term character development, and meaningful choices at many stages. I have my own print copies, let me see if I can find some PDFs for people to read through to get a sense.

I have a bit more restrictive schedule than I used to, but I'm looking for a 1-3x per month online meet-up for 3-4 hours (likely 7pm-11pm EST on a weekday or in the not too early morning on a weekend) with a significant amount of stuff happening on the forums.

I forgot to mention that I'd only be able to make online meetup times from Friday night to Sunday morning EST, given that I have to go to work weekday mornings in Korea.

Unless you guys want to meet up during the daytime on a weekday, which I suspect is a no go.

That's fine with me, generally. I think we can find a mutually-agreeable time that can work. My weekends are much freer than they used to be on account of child. Daytime on weekdays is obviously not great.

I am going to move forward with the idea of using Burning Wheel as the new system as that's the only thing people have mentioned. I'm not throwing DCCRPG off the table yet (or even something like Hackmaster) as I personally really enjoy the old-school grognardy dungeon crawlers.

Yes, this is the free PDF for starters so it only has the rules.

There are a LOT of traits and skills (and arcane magic, divine magic, etc.) but I haven't found a PDF of those yet. I;m kind of loathe to pay for them because I own the books. I'll try to find the books tonight so people can start thinking about their stuff soon.

I also probably need to re-work some of the world to match this. The biggest downfall of all of this is that Myth-Weavers has no functionality for BW character sheets, which I suppose is not deadly. You can still roll checks (which are just handfuls of d6 anyway) through MW.

You could go with a new character, or we could create a custom thing for Gnomes if you wanted to go down that route. We could steal some of the Dwarf and Elf and Men lifepaths.

I assume guns don't exist in Burning Wheel. I think Slippy would be an arbalest wielding dwarf.

Actually maybe the easiest is just to say they are Dwarves but instead of Greed they have a different attribute, like Curiosity.

If you wanted we could check out the Monster Burner which has rules for the Ratmen (which might be similar to the Frogs).

The other possibility is just to leave your old characters behind (who with your blessing would become NPCs in town) and just create new ones. Basically the only character who easily ports to BW is Harold and maybe Mel and Andrew

Can you give the back cover summary of Overmorrow? All I remember is it's an undiscovered land that we've started settling, and when we get there peopel are already dead/missing, and there's a Demon cult.

If you're porting over, you would know about the quarry and associated goings on.

If not, you would just be arriving, and all you would know about are a continent of adventure and mystery. Apparently some priceless artifacts have been discovered there as well.
