Mosquitoes

Just wondering if folks have noticed a large amount of mosquitoes in our neighborhood? This is the worst I’ve ever seen them....

Good Morning Mr. Gargan and Mr. Webb,

My name is Jen Schiller and I live at 9402 Gentle Circle in Montgomery Village. This past summer we have had a huge amount of mosquitoes swarming our neighborhood. I have an infant who is only three months old who has been bitten multiple times just trying to get to our car. I’ve also spoken to many of our elderly neighbors who are getting between 10-12 bites every time they go to their car to get groceries. As you know, this part of Overlea is right next to a creek of standing water. We are all good neighbors who pay our dues to the foundation and we are asking for your help with this issue.

Ms. Schiller,
 Unfortunately the HOA does not spray for mosquitos in the community.  I have reached out to both the county and state trying to get assistance but they will not do it either.  With the heavy rains this summer there is a large increase in mosquitos.

I was wondering if anyone sprayed for mosquitoes this year in Overlea? They seem to worse than I have ever seen them with almost swarms of mosquitoes. You basically cannot walk to your car without getting bitten at least two or three times...

Thanks for the note.  If I am reading your messages correctly, that sounds like an issue best addressed to you management company as any sort of treatment sprays or the like would be run through it rather than MVF.
