Is it possible to drive hunters road in June?
T4a says hunting season from April to August

Part of the route is off limits in June. Refer to T4A. There are more and more measures put in place to restrict access. Soon it will be a community run Eco Trail for which you will have to pay the community. Access points being erected.

What a pitty, it just shows how soon we need to enhance our
exploration, before they chase us all away forcing us to camp wild.
However having camped wild in Bots many times, it would seem difficult
to block off all.

On the other hand, what's wrong with paying the community?  It is their land after all.  Will we allow them to come camp on our properties for free?

Correct thinking, however if my land was huge enough with NO facilities they're welcome at no cost. But if I provide facilities, it's a different story.

If I had such a big piece of land and people come uninvited and camp there for free and break trees for firewood to make huge fires and leave their rubble (and worse) for me to clean up behind them, I will not charge them, I will chase them away, so let's be glad we are still allowed there after so many of our brothers buggered up their beautiful land and vanished without cleaning up after they did.

In 2005(June) we also travelled along Hunters road. A hunter/person did try to discouraged us to enter - it was just after the turnoff from Nata that we met. After a short discussion we decided to proceed and it did not seem as if they really have any authority to keep you out. After departing from our bushcamp the following morning we passed the big hunters camp.  It looked like the hunting activity was mostly in the southern part and entering from the road at the tower road could avoid the hunting.

I also know that the manager of Out of Africa campsite in MPandamentenga are also in the hunting concession fraternity. Think he could maybe shed(?) some light on the situation.

Sorry I do not have coordinates or telephone nrs.

For me the biggest problem is the owner of Elephant Sands. He refers everyone that stops there to Kazuma Pan. When we showed up at Kazuma Pan 6 other parties showed up after each other driving around trying to find a spot. One chap went and made his camp quite deep into Zim. Ignorance is bliss. Admittedly the place is big but one party decided to come camp right on our doorstep. The place has lost its isolation :(
