Insurgent Attack in Quissanga Leaves Macomia Town Besieged


Attacks by insurgents are moving into the south of Cabo Delgado province and have bypassed the town of Macomia. On the night of Thursday, 20 February, the insurgents attacked a position of the Mozambican Armed Forces (FADM) in Bilibiza, about 100 kilometres from the provincial capital, Pemba, and once again, there was no effective response from the government forces. Read more here.

Hi Joao,
Can you please clarify for us.
Are you permitted to drive in Moz with Sandles/open shoes.
We have been told that only proper shoes are allowed whilst driving in Moz.

According to the Moz "Codigo da estradas"  (Highway code), no mention of suitable footware.  However, try explaining that to the cops.  Don't give the cops a pretext to fine you so wear closed shoes anyway.
