Left hand drive vehicle in Southern Africa

Hi All

Question from a friend who is looking at a African trip

Has anyone shipped a left hand drive vehicle to SA and then driven through southern Africa ( Namibia, Botswana, Zambia Zimbabwe etc) ?

any pointers etc

Now that cameras are cheaper, maybe fit one on RH mirror pointing forward.

Yes, we did in 2013.

Do they have specific questions?

Ship should be done by a Vessel that makes the trip from Europe to South Africa without stop in Western Africa.

A Carnet the Passage is the best option to avoid costs for customs.

LHD cars cannot be registered in this counties.

There are many Europeans that ship their LHD vehicles to SA for Overlanding.
