Hi All

Is the 130 loadbin smaller than the 110 Pickup loadbin?

And how so they square up in terms of load capacity weight wise?

Cheers

Yes, it will be smaller.
Wider but not lenght wise.
It has the HiCap bin, but not sure about capacity limits

I think the 130 HC bin is the same size as the 110 single cab HC. With my 130 when I was in the farming business - easy to load 1 Mton in animal feed etc.

Nah Rob. Per your advice babies eat cash moreso than Defenders - no budget for both!

Mate of mine needs a hunting bakkie capable of carrying up to a buffalo, and take the hammering of the Zambezi Valley, while also transporting camping gear etc long distances. Helping him look for something. Hennie's xpost ad for the 130 yesterday looked like a deal. Space for passengers a sure bonus. And at R120k vs the R300k+ for a Cruiser (to be used a few times a year only) the 130 seemed perfect.

And so the question of the load capacity came up. Where better to ask but here?

Cheers

Jean

I believe the 130 has a higher (legal) load capacity than a 110 due to stronger coils in the rear.

To be confirmed by the landy fundis though?

Cheers
Paul

Yes - Meano Coach Builders who custom built my 130 canopy confirmed to me at the time that the dimensions differ between the 130 and 110 Hi-Cap Bin.

And Paul’s right about the 130’s springs. It has helper springs inside the main coils.

Thanks gents,

So what is the load capacity? Per LR website a 110 can take 1,5 tons and a 130 only 1,35 tons?

Cheers

Yep me too on my 110 - they are also Camel Trophy 110 spec. I had air helper springs initially but they got abraded and eventually destroyed by desert sand. The coil-within-coil 130 spec are excellent.
