Tyre compressor PU hose replacement in Cape Town

Hi all

In case anyone is interested....

Recently found that the coiled yellow hose from one of my 12V compressors had deteriorated to the point where it was completely unusable.  The tubing had become brittle and would just break when you tried to use it.

I spent a lot of time looking for replacement hose (I still had the fittings) without success.  I could get an entire replacement hose for R350 from Safari Centre - but no guarantee that it would fit my compressor fittings.

Eventually ended up at "Peninsula Pneumatics" in Auckland Street, Paarden Eiland where they fitted 5m of black Nylon (using my fittings) for about R150.

I presume this nylon hose is not coiled

Is it soft enough to roll up in order to store  it.

Is there a name for this nylon hose.

Hi Ivan

The invoice states "PA12-EHF Tubing". 

It's straight, not coiled like the yellow stuff - but it rolled up into a 250-300mm diameter circle that easily fitted into the compressor bag's main compartment.
