Apologies for the off topic here, but am in the market for a new 70amp
hr start battery for the 4x4.
Have been told that Sabat is made in the same Willard factory. Price
quoted: Battery size 637 Sabat 70 amp R763.00 vat included. VS 638 70
amp Willard R813.00 vat also included.

Is there a logical reason why I should go back to Willard? I realize
the casings are different, but apparently the inner are all the same.
Sabat has the same guarantee, as Willard.

Midas has a homebrand battery which is a relabelled Excide for 2/3 of the
price.

My farmer BIL says the Willard is fantastic: It is the only battery that dies before the warranty expires....:))

Yes. Ca-Ca and plugs sealed with tape over them.
I could find little visual difference from the original.
Happy so far (6 months)

Believe it or not, my negligence in the Willard. It has given me about
5yrs, had I checked the acid level it would have almost exceeded the
5yrs indefinitely, "I think"
