I was there in May 2011 and had the privilege to see Epupa like this! The whole of Kaokoland had good rains and was in bloom. All streams in Van Zyl's pass had water.... filled with tadpoles. Small frogs crawled from under wet gravel. There was flowers everywhere. When you got out of your car, the zooming of the bees was actually scary! Marienfluss was in full bloom and grass higher than my canopy.

In 2004 Namibia also had good rains when I was there in April that year. Grass next to the roads was as high as my bakkie. The usually dry part from Usakos down to Swakop was covered in short green matt of grass. One cannot help to wonder....2004 lots of rain and again in 2011 and now again in 2018. Seven year laps..... ?
