Subject: SD Card Data Logger

Hi Eric

I am very impressed with the Data Logger, and I believe that the feedback from the other guys must be very good as well.

I have placed the Data Logger in the boot of my Jetta the last few days. There is a spot with a very clear view through the interior and rear window, not bringing it indirect sunlight.

I have attached my Config file, as well as the two track logs. Otter Test was 8 Mb when I downloaded it from the SD card. Can you please have a look at the content of the track. It is my understanding that the unit should switch off/stop recording 30 minutes after the vehicle ignition have been switched off (I did check the socket it is switching off). As well as the unit should stop recording once there is no proper GPS fix. Then it will start with a new track once the vehicle is started again (applying external power).

When I studied the tracks, it seems as the unit does stop the recording of waypoints after 30 minutes, but it does not create a new track file. Is this correct? I realize that the benefit is that one will not easily get to the max number of 255 tracks this way and can therefore have very large tracks.

I have parked in a number of parking bays, within buildings. The receiver seems to be so good that it actually keep the fix, through the open areas. I am just concerned that one can clutter Wouter's Vault. I have copied him to have a look at the quality and whether he will be happy with this track data.

Will you please check the results and my Config file, and tell me whether it is correct.

Thanks again for all the effort you have put into the design and ordering of the Data Loggers.

Regards

Danie Knipe
