The PS3 can transfer individual PSone saves to USB storage and/or to a
SD.CF.MS card in it's card slots (if it has them). PSone saves are
stored in the PS3/EXPORT/PSV folder. Once there you can attach the
storage to a PC and then upload. Or, if your PS3 has a Linux install
on it, you can boot into OtherOS (Linux) and upload them directly with
your PS3.
Downloading is even easier since the PS3 has a built in web browser
you can download regular unzipped PSV's directly using it.
If you have the PS3's PSone/PS2 memory card reader, you can also
transfer the saves to and from an actual PSone card in it, to use in
an actual PSone or PS2, or get your old saves on the PS3.

I have a MaxDrive for PS2, but I forgot when i bought it, that I gave
away my psx cards long ago. So I haven't tried using it yet. I've just
gotten so used to playing on the emulators, but I know many still
prefer the nostalgic experience of the console. So I've been looking
for a simple & modern way of transferring the files. The PS3 is an
option I never considered. I'll give it a whirl as soon as I order
some psx cards. :D

This isn't to say that it isn't a good suggestion. I just can't use it.
