Hi, I'm interested in English translations of Zeus and Zeus II and it seems that some members of this group have already started making translations a number of years ago. Have they been finished? If not, I would like to continue the making translations and I was wondering if anyone in this group could provide the partially translated files or perhaps just let me know which files contain the dialog and menu text for Zeus and Zeus II.

Also, does anyone have the English translation files for the Carnage Heart EZ?

Thank you!

I never played the zeus series.
The way to learn ch2 is to play ch1 thats in eng.then play ch2 which is similar gui layout except witten in japanise. Thats how i learned. No time or patience to translate.
Glad to see someone still intrested in the best game in its class.
Good luck.

Hey speedystevie, I concur about learning to play. I've been playing Carnage Heart since about 1998 and it is definitely the best in class of programming strategy games, and the original is definitely the best starting point.

The reason I'm interested in translations is mostly to help with the series' posterity. I think if Zeus and Zeus II were translated that would help open the series up for OKE engineers, as they are fantastic entries in the Carnage Heart series which are very much worth checking out if you like the original. They actually have enough English and familiar gameplay concepts to be mostly playable for English speakers (they are actually very similar to Carnage Heart EXA in terms of OKE design). However, they also have more story-based gameplay (similar to EXA) that can make understanding what/why you are doing something kind of difficult without a translation.

If you're looking for my old CH:EZ translation project I still have the files, you can contact me directly at Unc...@hotmail.com for these.

Another great game for learning or exercising AI programming I discovered recently - Colobot: Gold edition has been holding my attention of late. It's much more literal (C-style) than Carnage Heart and not as restrictive, although it is also more of a strategy than war game.
