I'm actually in the process of trying to figure out which emulator works with the ROM, I'm trying out I think PSXe and not getting much in the way of progress. Is there a fast FAQ I could hit up for config details?

Hi John

I would download both emulators. pSX and ePSXe.

Use the pSX, as its simple to get something on the screen. You just have to get the bios and of course, the game ( iso, cd,rom )
later try ePSXe. You can improve the graphics with one of many plugins.
