Scenario 2:
I export all tracks from 0 bar to the end of the project and bring only the audio tracks to a studio who use only old version of Cubase. Now creating new project and importing the tracks went well. Did couple of edits, panning, volume changes, etc etc. Now I had to edit some percussion or vocals tuning, which I prefer to do at my home studio with newer version of cubase than that of the studio uses, to save some studio hiring charges. I brought the whole project folder. The project opens, and I complete the edits etc and saved. Now if I bring this same project folder to studio, all the volume and pan settings changed to -00 infinity. Messed up.
the problem seems to be my computer operating system is too old to communicate with current sever settings for cubase.
eLCC is too old to make contact, my computer cannot upgrade its operating system and eLCC cannot upgrade beyond its current version.
i think im stuck. thanks for your help so far. I dont see a way out of this one.
Sometimes in years past, Steinberg will launch one last update after the next version of Cubase launches so it is possible that cubase 13 comes out and then there is a Cubase 12.0.53 or something like that but no gurantee that will happen.
If you want to use this file, you must first make a copy of the file to the folder Documents/Trevliga Spel.
- Create the Documents/Trevliga Spel folder if you don't have it. ("Trevliga Spel" - two capitalized words with a space in between.)
- Copy the file from "%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin" / "/Library/Application Support/com.elgato.StreamDeck/Plugins/se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin" to Documents/Trevliga Spel. (The file installed in the plugin folder is a template only and is never accessed by the plugin in this location.)
- In the copy, change the line to include the path to the correct Cubase folder. Examples:
- Windows: %appdata%\Steinberg\Cubase 12_64
- Mac: /Library/Preferences/Cubase 12
