Andas a seller in the retail giant, endorsing Amazon Gift Cards allows you to promote your business and assist customers in finding the perfect gifts. You can tell customers that with an Amazon Gift Card, recipients can pick and choose your products based on their preferences.

Physical Gift Cards also come in various design options, such as fun boxes with pop-up designs and colorful imagery, a simple card in an envelope, or the classic and sleek design gift cards are known for. The thoughtful packaging reinforces the idea that gift cards are valid presents.

On the other hand, Amazon has partnered with several known brands for Specialty Gift Cards. Among them are Netflix, Apple, Uber, Starbucks, and Whole Foods. If you play your cards right, your brand may be the next big success to join them.

It all depends on the gift card type. For digital gift cards, it can be printed at the top of the message or just below the logo in the email body sent to the recipient. It can also be in an attachment sent with the email.

For physical cards, the claim codes are typically printed on the back with arrows pointed directly at the claim code location. However, customers may need to scratch it to reveal the code. The claim code may also be on the accompanying receipt if the physical gift card lacks these features.

While there is no expiration date for claiming the code, it is advised that recipients redeem Amazon gift cards as soon as possible to prevent and immediately address any issues. An example is misplacing or mishandling a gift card, resulting in a blurred or unreadable claim code.

? Claiming the code places the gift card funds in the recipient's Amazon account. People can save their credits by unchecking the "use gift card" or "use balance" options when checking out. They can check these options once more when ready to use the points.

As long as your buyers and their recipients are careful, there should be little to no issues. As a seller, aftercare is a must-know. You can easily resolve these concerns with Amazon account managers handling your Customer Service.

Gift cards are great and versatile gifts. You can send a physical card with claim codes at the back or send them digitally via email or text. You can choose designs or customize your own. They are also easy to activate and redeem.

I print out the pdf to leave on the Christmas tree.

I'm trying to sell an unwanted Amazon gift card. A shopper messaged me asking me if I could send, specifically, three consecutive numbers from the card code for them to "check if it's real". It seems safe to me, obviously you can't do anything with just a partial code, but I don't get how it would help them & I really don't want to be scammed again. Advice?

You're asking for trouble selling gift cards as anyone can claim you sent an empty one and get a refund from you. There are legitimate sites where you can sell your gift card for a portion of the balance, but I know of nobody that would pay MORE than the gift card is worth, so I'm completely perplexed at your pricing strategy there.

I read this on a blog recently- An elderly gentleman had rec'd an Amazon gift card for Christmas. Some of the numbers were unreadable to him. He was asking if there was anything he could do before bothering the gift-giver with the problem. Other commenters told him to call Amazon CS and they'd fix it right up. He did, and Amazon did fix it right up for him. I don't know how many numbers he needed to get this accomplished, but he was very pleasantly surprised. I'd be very leery, myself....if's they are asking for a certain set of numbers, they might be able to call and essentially steal your card value without ever even buying it.

@eviebird - I am glad that you came here with a question before you responded to the potential scammer buyer and I would take heed of what was posted. The scammer buyer would more than likely use the amount on the card and then file a SNAD and get all of the money back (including shipping). You have received excellent advice and I would not give out a partial number if I were you. I would block and delete the message.

The seller is about to discover that there are many people who will pay them $75 plus S&H for that card ... of couse, when the "buyer" receives the card, the buyer will claim that it doesn't work and file a claim through the Money Back Guarantee.

Since you're showing the whole card number on the listing, they might be able to get amazon to give them the rest of the redemption code if they have three of the numbers. They could say the "scratched" off the rest of the numbers.

Thanks for posting on Apple Support Communities. I understand you recently purchased an iTunes gift card from Amazon. You noticed that it only has a 14-digit code rather than a 16-digit code. Do you see any other codes written on the card? This article can help guide you to redeem the card. Redeem App Store & iTunes Gift Cards and content codes. There's also a link on that page to help if you can't redeem it. If the card cannot be redeemed you may want to contact Amazon for next steps.

A string of scams is taking place asking people to make payments over the phone for things such as taxes, hospital bills, bail money, debt collection, and utility bills. The scams are committed using many methods, including gift cards. As the fraudsters are sometimes requesting codes from Apple Gift Cards, App Store & iTunes Gift Cards, or Apple Store Gift Cards, we want to make sure our customers are aware of these scams.

Regardless of the reason for payment, the scam follows a certain formula: The victim receives a call, text, or email instilling panic and urgency to make a payment by purchasing Apple Gift Cards, App Store & iTunes Gift Cards, or Apple Store Gift Cards from the nearest retailer (convenience store, electronics retailer, etc.). After the cards have been purchased, the victim is asked to pay by sharing the code(s) on the back of the card with the caller over the phone.
