Day 4::: Last day of Oval 69 Legaspi Tours
It rained in the morning, so it was not a good day to go up to the other side of Mount Mayon in Tabako. But we braved the rain and clouds and proceeded to go up to 3/4 the height of the famous Volcanoes. We passed by many historical places including the site of typhoon Reming’s fury where thousands of people died. We passed by some churches too like the Divine Mercy church which they say is the most modern in Legaspi. We saw the biggest Last super statues of all the apostles in that Divine Mercy Church.
We learned the history of Mayon volcano eruptions from a film showing in that famous Mayon view deck. We took some pictures too and after that we went back to home base and prepared ourselves for the big dinner party at Brod Nelson and Lina’s Residence in Daraga.
What a well decorated venue for that last night. Sumptuous and finger licking crabs and giant shrimps. Unlimited food and drinks and delicacies. What an enchanted evening together with a live band! Soothing music pop and all time favorites and disco. Unlimited drinks too. Too much singing and dancing and really, the night was filled with fun and laughter and it was such a successful gathering which ended with a message of thanks by President Peter Yap. Sincerely, he thanked Brod Nelson and sis Lina for hosting this big event. And we were surprised with that birthday bash for Brod Badong who is celebrating his birthday the following day.
Next reunion will be after 2 years but mini reunions will be held at anytime if some batch mates will visit Manila for whatever purpose.
By the way Amy Batt showed her dancing skills as she spearheaded a line dancing and other dance styles.
Overall, this four day Legaspi Tours was an astounding success. Once again thanks for Sis Lina and Brod Nelson for hosting and for the elegant preparations which greatly contributed to the successful gathering.
To all participating Oval 69ers, thanks for your unebbing support and utmost cooperation, without which, the enjoyment would not have been possible. Till we meet again batch mates. Have a wonderful trip back home and happy cruise to the LA Group..
