Don't know about durian and coke, but eating alcohol and durian within a short space of time can cause serious health problems.  Apparently, there was a study (which I read in a scientific journal a couple of years ago) that indicated that the liver cannot cope with combined toxicity of alcohol and durian.

Thailand has clearly defined, after eating a lot of durian, within 8 hours DO NOT DRINK COKE !

I have a true story about the fatal combination of coke and durian. My healthy aunt died in her sleep after she ate durian and drank coke the night before.

Hello Guys... It's quite funny.  Any Davaeno knows of their famous place there where day and night people come to that place to eat durian and drink coke yet it's been there for years now. This is my first time to know of this case. A friend said that it can be a case of overeating and drinking the fruit and carbonated beverage.
