:Karina finished discussing Diego's condition with Taylor and re-joined the soon-to-be landing party:

Sissons: I'm ready for instruction

:she turned towards the crew members she hadn't yet become acquainted with:

Sissons: it's a pleasure to be serving with you; my name is ensign Sissons.

Kors/Kovis: ?

Kors/Kovis: ?

Velana:  All right.  Computer...four to beam directly to the terraforming camp.

Kors/Kovis: ?

:Karina never quite got used to the feeling of being transported. It was one of the few sensations she just could not grasp on to. It unsettled her a little, but the excitement of the mission took over and she braced herself for what lay ahead on Eden.

The abandoned terraforming camp lay before them, littered with equipment and personal belongings. Karina experienced a rush of recent emotions: panic and despair. She felt her resolve to find a cure for this virus strengthen, so normal life (as they knew it) could resume.

She took in the beauty of the surrounding landscape, however was well aware of it's hidden dangers:

Velana:  Ensign Kors, I'd like you to start taking soil and water samples.  Kovis and Sissons, we'll start in the terraformers' living quarters.

Sissons: Of course, commander.

Kors/Kovis:

Velana:  We're looking for anything that they all came into contact with.  If this is where they came into contact with the virus, it's still here in some form or another.  Let's get to work.

:Karina took out her tricorder and began scanning the ground in front of her, as she walked towards the living quarters:

Sissons: I'm not picking up any unusual readings of the surrounding area commander, which would indicate there's been no infectious barrier set up. :she looked up at Velana: Are you of the opinion that the virus was spread purposefully?

:she had heard numerous theories. The very nature of Eden was to destroy: had the presence of the camp unsettled the balance of the planet itself, or was there a more sinister story?

Velana:

Kovis:

Sissons: I do sense a feeling of dis-ease, of imbalance. :Karina turned quickly about her, a little spooked (by what, she was not yet certain): I'll head straight to the sleeping quarters.

Kovis:

Velana:

:Karina busied herself with scanning the communal washing area, however couldn't shake the feeling that something was not quite right:

To be continued.
