We wish you a happy summertime.
Many apologizes for "Outlook Korea" discontinuation issues schedule.
Several reasons may explain this discontinuity:
1.Anti-spamming issue.
We put many efforts to find the best solution to comply as much as
possible to "Netiquette policy".
Nevertheless, more and more providers have installed anti-spam filters
which may, from time to time, consider unreasonably our e-Newsletter as
a spam.
So far, we couldn't find the best solution. Several options are under
study (the most radical being to stop the "Outlook Korea" e-News
service).
2.Mission to Korea for 9 months.
By mid-September, your "Outlook Korea" Chief Editor will leave for +/-
9 months in Korea. Which means, a lot of preparations to do for such
departure.
This mission is an opportunity for "Europa Korea" private foundation -
EKPf to extend its network and studying future potential highly
valuable projects to enhance, promote, dynamise the friendships between
Korean and European Union countries.

3.EKpf's activities.
EKpf's website activity is growing month after month and becomes a
reference about Korea on the web.
We receive more and more "consultancy" questions (eg. economy,
culture).
We do our best to find the proper answers or to redirect you to the
most appropriate interlocutor.
Next to such "Consultancy services", EKpf is working on several
projects and activities.
Amongst these projects, we are proud to invite you to our new upcoming
monthly initiative:
"The Korean cine-club" (Brussels, Belgium).
Moreover, EKpf, in close collaboration with the Republic of Korea
Mission to the EU, is organising a Korean Traditional Music and Dance
concert given by the "Seoul Performing Arts Company" in Brussels.
You'll find more detailed informations below under the "announcements"
section.
Amongst these announcements, EKpf makes a call for a "European
Koreanists Think Tank" group initiative.
As you may notice, your EKpf is more active than ever. The above stated
projects are not the only ones ran by "EKpf".

-> Launching of "The Korean Cine-Club" in Brussels
EKpf proudly presents its upcoming monthly activity : the Korean
Cine-Club
Goal: Promoting the Korean movies and giving the opportunity to watch
Korean movies which have never been screened through the local (Belgium
at least) commercial distribution circuit.
When ? From September 2005 - Each FIRST Saturday of the month at 7.00pm

In partnership with the Republic of Korean Mission to the EU in
Brussels, EKpf is planning to set up a Think Tank group of "European
Koreanists".
Goal: European Koreanists Think tank group
-PromoInnovacting Euro-Korean friendships
-Coordinating group for large-scale Korean
socio-economic-cultural-scientific events in Europe.

Early this year, we have dedicated our thema to Korean TV through
satellites.
This issue, we will focus our thema on Korean Internet TVs.
Of course, to watch TV on your computer through your Internet
connexion, you'd need a broadband connexion to avoid any "reception
problem".
A 128kb downstream connexion is the minimum required for a sufficiant
image quality.
Why would you watch Korean TV through Internet ?
Most probably, there are several answers. Maybe you are korean living
overseas and you are missing all the Korean sitcoms or entertainments
programmes.
Maybe you are just interested to learn korean and to improve your
listening
comprehension skill, then you'd prefer to watch Korean TV programmes.
